The Care You Deserve

Happy Kids Pediatric Housecalls, PLLC aims to provide quality medical care for your little ones without time constrictions often brought on by insurance companies. For this reason, Happy Kids is only accepting self-pay patients at this time. Scroll down to see the fee schedule.

For ease of payment, the base price listed below is paid via the book now feature prior to the nurse practitioner making the house call. Other fees may apply if additional services performed.

Fee Schedule

Base price $100

The base price includes vital signs, history, physical exam, prescriptions, and education. The house call will be documented in a HIPPA compliant electronic health record which also allows for electronic prescribing so your prescriptions will be waiting for you at the pharmacy.

Additional fees (that may be added)

Rapid Strep Test $15

Rapid Influenza Test $20

Urine dip stick $10

Albuterol nebulizer treatment $15

Same day nebulizer machines $45

Travel time greater than 30 minutes $30

Not all visits require additional testing. Before performing any test, the nurse practitioner will discuss the indication of each test and include the parent in shared decision making.

Please check back regularly for additional tests, fees, procedures, or just ask me.

According to the CDC, rapid flu tests are only 50-70% accurate in detecting the flu. This means, some patients with the flu will test negative. Happy Kids can treat for the flu based on exposure and symptoms.

The Answers You’ve Been Looking For

Will my insurance cover my visit?

No. Insurances are not accepted at this time, however Happy Kids is considering generating a super bill for patients in the future that may allow you to submit the visit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

Do you offer financing options?

No. Financing is not available at this time.

Can I get a same-day appointment?

Yes. Same-day appointments are available.

What can I expect?

The Nurse Practitioner will arrive to your home with her medical bag, take your child's vital signs, and conduct a visit similar to being in a clinic. Prescriptions will be sent to the pharmacy through an electronic health record.

Can I also get medicine for other family members?

Yes. Since the nurse practitioner and her collaborative physician are board certified in family medicine, she may be able to care for other family members depending on the illness. Legally and ethically, the nurse practitioner cannot simply write a script. An entire office visit must be conducted and documented.

Can my child get ADHD medicine?

No. For the safety of the child, ADHD medications should only be managed by one provider. Also, the nurse practitioner will not have the ability to write for any controlled substances in the home setting.

Will you make a "housecall" at my child's school?

I believe in working with parents and schools to reduce missed number of days from school. In order to do that, I am still evaluating the logistics of seeing a child in the school setting. I hope to make this a possibility soon.

Can I schedule a telemedicine visit for my child's ear pain?

No, in order to accurately and safely manage ear pain, the nurse practitioner must look in your child's ears.
